You can usually choose between picking it up from the store yourself, once the book is in, or having it delivered or shipped to you. Many bookstores will offer free delivery within the same city, and some will offer free shipping or shipping for a fee across the country. I would LOVE it if you would support an indy bookshop and not the mega-ones (you know who they are, we don’t need to name them). When you buy from a local indy bookshop you are connecting with book-sellers who have curated wonderful collections of books, people in your community who work hard to support writers, readers and the arts!
Pre-order directly from me. Many of you have asked how you can order so that I receive the most money! Poets are not in it for the money, but I appreciate this so much! Just email me and let me know how many copies you’d like. The book sells at $22.95. I’ll reserve your copy and you can send me an e-transfer, pay me in cash when we next see each other. The book will be out on October 1st. Once it’s out, you can come pick up your copy at a launch event or we can coordinate another time to see each other. Please don’t count on this if you want it mailed to you – I will never get to the post office, your better option is to order from a bookshop!

Request a copy to your local library. This is how you would suggest it to Edmonton Public Library. If you are in another city, you can check how your local library takes book suggestions.
Wait until the book is on bookstore shelves. After October 1 you can stroll into a bookshop and hopefully find it on the shelves!

Bio
Kathryn Lennon 姚君妍 is a poet, editor and publisher. She writes to make sense of her connections to place, migration, identity, language, and food. She believes in the power of poetry, and the power of sharing our diverse voices, to help us create more equitable, just and beautiful communities. As a poet, she feels most useful when she is lending her voice to community. As poets, she believes we play a crucial role as gatherers of stories, perspectives, voices, experiences, but also – as gatherers of people, and of communities. She is passionate about building more inclusive, beautiful, and connected communities, through storytelling and placemaking, and has been creating at the intersections of community-building, poetry, and community-arts for over a decade.
She is also the co-creator, co-editor, and co-publisher, along with Kyla Pascal, of Hungry Zine. She sees it as a great honour and privilege to be trusted with other people’s words and art, and to hold space for people to converse, and share their voices, in the form of a literary publication.
She was born and raised, and resides in Edmonton/Amiskwacîwâskahikan, with mixed Hong-Kong Cantonese and Irish settler ancestry.
